Our clinic can do what we do in part because of the support of the whole community. Our clinic and our programs like Thriving Heart and FutureImpact have many opportunities to jump in and serve. Reach out today to see how you can be a part of the work of C.A.R.E. Medical Center.

Volunteer Nurse (RN, ARNP, etc) Our volunteer nurses conduct pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI tests, and STI exams.
Patient Advocate (LPN, etc.) Our LPN Patient Advocates conduct pregnancy tests and help our patients navigate their healthcare decisions from an informed and holistic perspective.
Receptionist (non-medical) Our volunteer receptionists help with the day-to-day business of our clinic by answering phones, scheduling patients, and helping with basic administrative business.
Thriving Heart has a variety of opportunities to support the work of this program.
Volunteer Mentor: Thriving Heart mentors, support the journey of young mothers in our community through real relationships. They work through our online curriculum Brightcourse learning about parenting and life skills.
Boutique Volunteer: Our Thriving Heart program also supports the materials needs of families in our community through infant clothes and maternity clothes as well as a food pantry and home needs such as toiletries and more. Our boutique volunteers help to fill the materials needs of clients by sorting through and maintaining the boutique.
FutureImpact has opportunities for those who have a heart for education and the youth of the Valley to be part of our education and outreach program.
FutureImpact Instructor: Volunteer instructors play a vital role in sexual and relational health education to the young people of the Skagit Valley. FutureImpact Instructor volunteers support this program by going into the schools and educating the youth using our FutureImpact curriculum.
